Moss Vale House

Set between two small scale vineyards and within an established garden of mature trees, this home seeks to enhance the human connection to landscape while protecting the client from a traditionally misty-cool Southern Highlands environment. Being a home for a retiring couple, the design had to allow for level access across a sloping site and be able to expand and contract to accomodate guests. So, it is divided into three clear zones of living, sleeping and utilities. This division allows the client to predominantly live in one compact and efficient wing of the house while still having the capacity to enjoy large Christmases and special gatherings with family and friends staying in a seperate wing.
